Language files for Call of Duty: Black Ops II
Language files required to turn the in-game language to Japanese
How to install
- Download the files
Via web UI
Press blue button <code>
, then click Download ZIP
. I'm trying to pre-cache every download so it should begin instantly, but if it doesn't, it can "spin" even for around 10 minutes, that's expected. The download will begin eventually.
Via Github Desktop
If you have Github Desktop app installed, you can use
File -> Clone respository -> URL
And paste URL of this page to the first input field. It will fetch the repository via GIT client, keep in mind, it may take some time.
- Backup your game files
For additional safety, save folders sound
, zone
, localization.txt
and localization_zm.txt
files from your game's root directory in some other place on your computer.
- Drag new files over
Your zip/folder contains the following
sound
directoryzone
directorylocalization.txt
filelocalization_zm.txt
file
Drag these 2 folders and 2 files on the root folder of your game. It should prompt you if you want to replace localization.txt
and localization_zm.txt
files (and potentially more, if you already have some/all of the language files). Once confirmed and the files are copied in, your localization is changed.
Something went wrong while setting the localization up
Use the files you've backed up in step 2 to recover the game to the previous state, alternatively use Steam to Verify integrity of game files
which will redownload the correct files.
